The lecturer at the College of Political Science at the University of Kufa, Dr. Abbas Fadel Alwan, published a scientific research entitled (Strategic directions of the United States’ policy towards the Palestinian issue after 2017) in the Journal of Political Issues, College of Political Science / Al-Nahrain University.
As the researcher clearly indicated the interest of the United States in the Palestinian cause, rather, an important part of the developments of that issue, and its outcome, came as a result of the American policy. The reasons behind this policy are the relationship of American decision-making centers and stakeholders with ((Israel)), which is based on providing support at the expense of Palestinian rights.
With President Trump’s administration assuming power in 2017, it tried to push for tracks: ending the Palestinian cause by adopting: the deal of the century, recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of “Israel”, supporting normalization of “Israel” with Arab countries, and portraying “Israel” ) as a country that can be relied upon to deal with security challenges and threats.
Through a study of: the variables affecting the American policy towards the Palestinian issue, and the most prominent trends that affected the American policy, the research concludes that what is in that issue sometimes determines what the American policy will be, and sometimes the opposite, so how what the American policy is, what it will be The Palestinian cause.
