Article 1: Admission
First: The student must enroll in the faculty after the announcement of the lists of the central acceptance within a period not exceeding one week from the date of the announcement of the results of acceptance and otherwise acceptance is null.
Second: Each student is given a number called the university number and consists of six grades – – The last two digits from left to year indicate the acceptance of the college and the remaining numbers to the sequence of acceptance in the central admission lists.
Article Two: Transition
First: The duration of the transfer of students to and from the colleges applied to the system of decisions and according to the central transfer controls from 1/7-1 / 8, the transfer requests shall be considered and decided within ten days from the date of expiry of the application date.
Second: The department or section council in the college, which does not have any sections with the approval of the college council, determines the lessons or success courses in the previous college equivalent to the requirements of the department and exempting the student from it and demanding the rest of the courses necessary to graduate it by the end of 1/9.
Third: On the recommendation of the Department Council of the College Council to transfer the student to a department with minimum requirements within one college in accordance with the minimum limits of the accepted admissions year in the case of failure in the compulsory course for the first level for the second time or for legitimate reasons to be satisfied and calculated the previous semester within the duration Maximum study. In the case of failure of the student transferred twice in a course from the first level of the requirements of the department transferred to him and the registration of its records.
Fourth: Subject to the conditions of the transition in the first and second above:
1 – The student may transfer in the first stage in the computer science and chemistry to the Faculty of Pharmacy. The student may move the first in the first stage in the sections of the jurisprudence, physics, earth science and computer to the Faculty of Engineering.
2 – The student may move to a department with higher requirements within one college if the cumulative average of the student at the end of the second semester for the year of acceptance is not less than 70%, provided that he has successfully completed 35 units of study and a good estimate of the special rapporteur of the section that wants to move to it. All courses must be compulsory for the first level.
Article III: Terms of the decision system
First: Course – A study subject that includes specific vocabulary approved by the department council and approved by the faculty council and the university council.
Second: The postgraduate course – a previous course for a later course which adopts the curriculum syllabus following it,
Third: Compulsory courses – Basic courses to deepen the student’s knowledge and registration is mandatory.
Fourth: Elective courses – Courses to expand the student’s knowledge base and registration is voluntary.
Fifth: The unit of study (abbreviated unit) – theoretical hourly effort per week and every two hours or three hours the process of one unit of study and more than that is equal to two units of study.
Sixth: University Requirements – A set of compulsory and optional courses aimed at increasing the student’s knowledge of the fields of social, scientific, professional and human knowledge.
Seventh: College Requirements – A set of compulsory and optional courses aimed at deepening student knowledge and acquiring skills in the field of specialization.
Eighth: The requirements of specialization – a set of compulsory and optional courses aimed at deepening student knowledge and acquiring skills in the field of specialization.
Ninth: The academic level – a part of the student’s student journey in the college and determined by the total number of units of courses in which the student succeeded as follows:

Tenth: Cumulative average: – The total number of courses multiplied by their units divided by the number of units until the end of the semester by calculating all degrees of success and repetition. For the purpose of calculating the cumulative rate, the degree of repetition (40) is calculated if it is less than that.
Eleventh: Graduation rate – the total number of courses multiplied by their units divided by the total units recorded by the student in all classes and calculated at the graduation of the student according to the ratios mentioned in Article XI.
Graduation Requirements – The total number of compulsory courses and specific electives that represent the requirements of the university, college and specialization, and the student must complete them successfully within the permitted period of study.
Article 4: The Basics of the Course System.
First: The study in the course system is based on three semesters: the first chapter, the second chapter and the third chapter, which is later known as the summer semester.
Second: All classes shall be equal in terms of the total number of semester hours for the course, privileges and penalties. For the purpose of calculating the semester, each semester shall be equal to a semester.
Third: All courses are quarterly.
Fourth: The duration of the study in both the first semester and the second semester (15) weeks. The exams are not included in them and (8) weeks in the summer semester.
Fifth: The academic level in the course system shall be equivalent to the academic year in the annual system.
Sixth: The minimum number of students allowed to enroll in each of the first semester and the second semester (12) units, and in the summer semester (6) units.
Seventh:
1. The maximum number of students allowed to enroll in the first semester and the second semester (18) units and the scientific committee in the department to approve the registration of the student on (21) units for legitimate reasons to be convinced.
2. The maximum number of students allowed to enroll in the summer semester is 9 credits
Eighth: The cumulative average should not be less than (60%) at the end of the semester.
Ninth: The minimum number of study units required to obtain a bachelor’s degree in studies of 4 years in other systems (140) units, in studies of 5 years in other systems (180) units and in studies of 6 years in other systems (205) units .
Tenth: The duration of study in the studies whose graduation requirements are 140 units (12) in the studies and the requirements of graduating (180) units (14) in the studies and the requirements of graduating (205) units (18) classrooms.
Eleventh: The duration of study should not be less than (140) units for (7) semesters and in studies whose graduation requirements (180) units for (9) semesters and in studies whose graduation requirements (205) Classroom.
The student may not register for the course unless he is successful in his field. In case of this, his registration and grades in the course and the course are canceled except for the semester expected to graduate at the end. And the podium in that one.
Thirteenth: Each course is given a number indicating its title and level of study.
Fourteen: The title and units of the course may not be changed in any case. In the case of changing the graduation requirements, any deletion and introduction of courses shall give the instructor the updated level a new number which has nothing to do with the canceled course number.
Fifteen: The student shall be exempted from the course of the canceled course and the new course shall be required if the graduation requirements change.
Sixteenth: The student has the right to enroll in a course that has been successful only once. The last attempt is calculated in the calculation of the cumulative average and the graduation rate. The word “hostile” should be mentioned in front of the course number to indicate this. In the case of his absence is a rapporteur in the course twice and has to register on the course for the third and last time, a deposit separates from the college and records the record from the records.
Seventeen: The student has the right to re-register for four courses in which he has already succeeded if his cumulative average is 60% or more. In the event that his cumulative average is less than 60%, the student has the right to return more than that subject to Article 12 (IV).
Eighteen: The department council shall determine the graduation requirements for the students of its department to be accompanied by the approval of the faculty council and the university council. When necessary, the graduation requirements may be changed upon the recommendation of the department council and the approval of the college council and the university council.
Nineteenth: It is not possible to separate the practical from the theoretical in case the subject matter is interrelated and integrated.
20: The student must register on the compulsory course failing in the first semester after the opening in which the student is considered to be the second rapporteur for the second time.
Twenty-one: The student has the right to register on the same optional course, or any alternative alternative course. Upon success in the course, the grades and units of the substitute course replace the units and grades of the previous optional course.
Article 5: Registration on the Courses
First: The accepted student in the college must register for the open courses in the semester within one week from the date of the announcement of the central admission lists after completion of the acceptance process.
Second: In the case of the issuance of subsequent lists to accept the request after a week of the date of the studies, the study of these students deferred to the second semester does not count this chapter within the maximum period of the student’s study.
Third: The duration of registration on courses for students continuing the study one week at the beginning of the first and second and three days from the beginning of the summer semester according to the calendar of the system of courses.
Fourth: The student may not register for the courses after this period in any case. The student is not registered in that semester (except) except for the summer semester, and this semester is counted within the maximum period of study.
Fifth: Students of other faculties and state employees may register on one or more courses after the approval of the department council and the approval of the college council.
Sixth: Students may not attend the lecture hall or lab unless they complete the registration requirements.
Seventh: The course shall be closed at the end of the registration period if the registered number is less than (10) students.

Article 6: Addendum and withdrawal from the courses
First: Without prejudice to the maximum limit of the number of units allowed for the student to register it is entitled to add one or more courses within one week of the commencement of the courses after the approval of the supervisor and the professor of the course.
Second: The student has the right to withdraw from the course or more within two weeks of starting the training provided that the minimum number of units allowed for the student is not exceeded and after the approval of the supervisor and the professor of the course.
Article 7: Examinations
First: The final exams for the semester are only one.
Second: The College Council shall determine, on a proposal of the Council of the Department, the examinations of the Department, its type, how to conduct them and calculate their proportions, provided that the degree of pursuit of 30% and not more than 50% of the final grade is not less than the subjects of practical and applied nature.
Thirdly: The College Council shall be formed by a proposal from the Dean of a committee or more for the final exams for the semester before the start of registration for at least one week. The duties of the faculty shall be supervision and follow-up of the registration, preparing the lists of courses after the end of the period of addition and withdrawal. Fourth: The final exams for the semester shall be confidential in all the courses.
Fifth: The final examination of the semester may not be postponed in any way.
Sixth: If the student is absent from attending the final examination of the course with an illegal excuse, he shall be considered a rapporteur in the course and he shall be awarded an assessment. If the student fails to take the final exam with a legitimate excuse approved by the College Council, he shall be given an incomplete assessment.
Article Eight: Absences
The student shall be considered a rapporteur in the course if he exceeds 10% of the total hours of the course without a legitimate excuse or 15% with a legitimate excuse approved by the College Council.
Article 9: Degrees and convictions
First: The degree of success is the smallest (50%) in each course.
Second: The results of the courses are announced in the estimates and the level of the student is indicated among the successful in terms of grades.
Privilege corresponds to 90-100 degrees
Very good offset by 80-89
Good corresponds to 70-79 degrees
Average corresponds to 60-69 degrees
Acceptable corresponds to 50-59 degrees
A precipitation corresponds to a score of 49 or below
Thirdly, the fractions of the grades of the course shall be forced if they exceed half and do not break the grades if I say so.
Fourth: The Council of the Department and the approval of the College Council to give an estimate (incomplete) in a decision of a special nature of the research project or a field study or a quarterly estimate … etc. and needs supplementary requirements. Article 10: Fraud
If the cheating of the student in any of the daily, weekly or final exams is considered a failure in all the courses recorded in that chapter, and if repeated repeated from the college and record the record of its records. Article 11: Graduation rate
First: Calculate the rate of the student according to the following:
1 – In studies whose graduation requirements (140) units, the distribution of the following percentages:

Second: The student’s graduation ranking is calculated according to the graduation rate of the graduating students on the summer semester, the first semester and the second semester.
Article 12: Warning, warning and promotion of the restriction
First: A student with a cumulative average of less than 60% at the end of the semester.
Second: The student warns the alarm clock, which has a cumulative average of less than (60%) at the end of the semester.
Third: raise the state of alert or warning in the case of modifying the student cumulative rate to (60%) or more.
Fourth: Terminate the student’s relationship with the faculty in the following cases:
If the student fails to raise the alert status at the end of the semester.
If the maximum duration of study is exceeded in the college.
He was found guilty of cheating for the second time.
His hesitation is scheduled three times.
He has twice failed in a course that has been successful and has been re-registered. This paragraph shall be deleted
The student is transferred to a lower level twice in a course from the first level.
Article 13: Delay
First: The student may defer his studies for one or two semesters for legitimate reasons. The College Council shall be satisfied that the postponement application shall be submitted at least one month before the beginning of the final exams for the semester.
Second: The President of the University may, on the recommendation of the College Council, postpone the student’s study for a third semester and for legitimate reasons to be convinced that the postponement application shall be submitted at least one month before the beginning of the final exams for the semester.
Amendment of Article XIII-III of the University Instructions for the Course System to:
Thirdly: a. The Council of the University may, on the recommendation of the College Council, postpone the student’s study for a fourth semester and for legitimate reasons, in which he shall be persuaded that the postponement application shall be submitted at least one month before the beginning of the final exams for the semester.
B. The summer semester is optional and the student may register for open courses in order to raise his cumulative average to 60% or more. In case of success, the situation of alert or warning shall be lifted, and in case of failure, his academic status shall remain the same and he shall not bear any additional penalty.
C. If he is successful in the optional course and scored on the same course for the purpose of raising his / her cumulative average, the last attempt is calculated in the calculation of the cumulative average. The student is considered to be a failure in the course twice and is entitled to either register for the same course for the third and last time. .
Dr.. If the student failed in the optional course and scored on an optional alternative course and did not participate in the final examination for legitimate reasons approved by the College Council gives him an estimate (unfinished) and the case of the student remains the same as any previous grade intervention in the calculation of the cumulative average.
Article 14: The President of the University upon the recommendation of the College Council and the circumstances of force majeure exempt the student from the examinations of the annual pursuit and to consider the degree of final examinations of 100 in one or more courses that use this authority in the narrowest limits does not mean exempting the student from the work.
Article 15: The student shall be required to pay for the cost of the classes of more than eight semesters in accordance with the applicable financial regulations, and the years of delay shall not be included.
Article (16): The study shall be suspended at the end of the semester before the final exams with a period not exceeding three days.
Article Seventeen: The application of the course system begins at the College of Pharmacy / University of Baghdad, Faculty of Science / Mustansiriya University and College of Science / Basrah University starting from the academic year 1993/1994.
Article 18: These instructions shall apply to the faculties applicable to the system of decisions and shall cancel any instructions inconsistent with them.
Article 19: These instructions shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall be implemented in the academic year 1998/1999.
University Instructions Supplement for the Course System of the University of Basra
In the event that a student moves from another college where he has previously failed to join the Faculty of Science, he must collect 36 units during the first academic year of his registration.
The student shall receive from the student for each lesson after the first attempt an amount of one thousand dinars for the Higher Education Fund.
Similar to the annual system, each student is required to pay fifteen thousand dinars for each year. The repetition year is defined in the course system if the student fails more than half of the units registered.
In case of incomplete number of students (10 students) for each course, students who wish to open the course of the evening course will be treated with a minimum of five students per course.
